1. We added a new Worker's Compensation
Claim Form. This form follows the Compounded Claims setup in Options (i.e.
print NDC, Qty, etc). You can select this form in Insurance Edit. This is
designed for those workers compensation funds that must have the name, amount
and NDC of each active ingredient to process the claim. NOTE: For properly
alignment of the ingredients you must have the font COURIER NEW installed in
your computer.
2. When printing the IACP claim form they system will now ask if you want to
print only the Active ingredients or all ingredients. It defaults to printing
only the active ingredients.
3. The Patient's person number now allows for 3 characters. NOTE: The
insurance may want 002 or 02.
4. On Credit Card billing, when you after you enter the amount you want billed
and press enter, the program forces a next control to ensure the amount is saved
in the control before processing the credit card.
5. Rx labels: When printing the default LM2-HP and printing the patient's
mailing label for the shipping address. The system now prints the name on the
Shipping tab and not the patient's first and last name.

1. The IACP claim form
patient's SSN field has been expanded from 14 chars to 25
chars to allow for longer patient ID numbers.
2. When dispensing device(s) with a prescription and using
the strict inventory system, the inventory system will now
ask for the lot number. Select the lot number by using the
drop down list. The inventory system will subtract the
device amounts from the total inventory and the specific
inventory item. If you cancel a dispensing or delete a
prescription you must manually adjust the device inventory.
3. New feature for VITAMIN ROOM pharmacy. In options->log
setup tab. Ask to process log inventory. If this is
checked then you can make a log without adjusting
inventory. THIS IS SPECIFIC TO the VITAMIN ROOM pharmacy.
If you are not sure about this then DO NOT CHECK this as it
can through off your inventory for chemicals and devices.
4. The pharmacy's information is now printed on the patient
SOAP notes report.
5. In formula edit on the instructions tab there is a new
drop down list. "Insert Compound information into
instructions". This allows you to store preloaded
instruction templates and other pieces of information in the
Compounding Information table and then to quickly load it
into the instructions for the current formula Use the drop
down list and select the compounding information that you
want to insert. You can then confirm if you want to add it
to the current formula instructions. This can be used in
NJ to load the states compounded Rx tracking document to the
formula.

6. Some states require the name of the pharmacist in-charge
on the prescription label. You can add this as a text
label to the current Rx label definition file. Contact
support if you require assistance in adding this information
to your Rx label.
7. When exporting doctors, patients and contacts
information you can now select new fields that have the
first name, last name, middle name, reg address 1, reg
address 2 and reg city in proper case. Example: PAUL Vs.
Paul. You can select either the upper case or the proper
case fields. Since The Compounder stores all names in
uppercase like PAUL KLOMP you can now export these fields in
an ANSI proper case.

8. When filled a new Rx when using Calculate Refills From
Quantity owing has been fixed.
9. Log of Scripts report: You can now filter by insurance
group. This allows you to group insurances together and
then view a log of scripts for only those insurances in the
selected group.
10. A calculation of ingredient costs during a log has been
corrected. The original calculated cost may be off under
certain conditions. If you pressed the Calculate costs
button then it will be correct. This fixes the original
calculated cost.
11. Corrected sales tax for OTC items. This was broken in
the 2.1.0.10 update.
12. We have added more sorting capabilities to the log of
scripts report.
1. By doctor name (last, first).
2. By insurance name.
3. By doctor practice type (practice type, last name,
first name, date filled).
13. The ASAP report now asks if you want to print a blank
report. Some states require that you send in information
even if there are no prescriptions in the ASAP report.
14. On the HCFA 1500 form we've added support for #14 Date
of current. This date is obtained from the patient's
insurance HCFA window.
15. On the HCFA 1500 form we've added support for #24B &
24C. In previous versions, these were hard coded as 12 &

16. On the HCFA 1500 form we've made it an option to print
the drug name and Rx number in the 24K Reserved for local
use. When printing the HCFA claims, you will be asked if
you want to print this information in the #24K Local use
field.
17. On the HCFA 1500 form we've moved the laser/old style
print label down to the bottom right of the form. This is a
label that described what type of form was selected in the
insurance that was printed.
18. When billing an online claim and selecting BILL LATER,
in previous versions the program would write 0's in all
amount fields. Now it writes the calculated amounts in
these fields. Total cost, Copay, Fee, Tax, etc.
19. The is a new report for third party reconciliation.
It's called the third party aged report. File->Reports->3rd
Party Aged Report. You will be asked if you want to report
to be based off of the AMOUNT DUE from the insurance or OR
the total amount (Drug cost+Fee). You can have the report
print $0.00 for blank numbers.
20. When the system changes the default font size during
filling a new prescription, you will get a message telling
you that it is changing the font size. If only does it
when directions are longer than 120 characters.
21. The IV Rx labels now prints the directions. It takes
the formatted text from the regular Rx label and prints it
as font size 5 on one line. Note: some printers may put a
square box or two at the end.
22. The Log of scripts, filter 'by formula name' as been
corrected. An update in the 2.1.0.10 broke this.
23. When creating end-user reports using the Report
Builder, you can now edit the SQL. This gives the user more
flexibility in creating SQL reports. To edit the SQL, in
the Report Builder select the Data tab and create your data
query. On the SQL tab right click on current SQL and you
will be given an option to edit the SQL.
24. On the formula & chemical inventory reports we've added
the (GM, ML, UNITS) after the stock to further clarify the
stock on hand amount.
25. There is a new A/R report. This report gives the
account name, phone, account number, and takes the total
balance and subtracts all current invoices.
Accounts->Reports->Total-Current Report. You enter the
starting and ending invoice dates for the current invoices.

26. On the Make Log Windows on the Pricing tab, there is a
new Automatic Time Calculator that will actually record the
time used to make a log. When you press the Automatic Time
Calculator it starts an internal timer. When you click on
the Automatic Time Calculator button again or press the SAVE
button your COST FOR TIME will automatically be calculated
and the TIME TO MAKE will also be calculator for you.
27. The ASAP report now takes out any hyphens "-" in the
NDC number before creating the ASAP file. We do not
recommend adding - in the formula NDC number(s), but if you
already have -'s in the NDC number we now take them out for
compatibilities reasons for the ASAP report.
28. The ASAP report now checks for '-' in the Triplicate
Serial numbers on prescriptions. If a '-' is found then it
is taken out before it is added to the ASAP report.
29. If in Options you have setup to print the patient's
shipping address and the shipping address line #1 is blank
then it will default back to the patient's regular address.
30. The ASAP report now allows for quantity dispensed in
real numbers. In previous versions it would round to the
nearest whole number. If you dispensed 0.3 then it would
fill in 00000 for the quantity on the report.
31. If you select to print ALL formulas in the formula
inventory report it now prints all negative, 0 and positive
inventories for the formulas.
32. If you select to print ALL chemicals in the chemical
inventory report it now prints all negative, 0 and positive
inventories for the chemicals.
33. There is a new utility to help adjust formula
pricing. If you have the security module activated then a
user must have security clearance for Options to use this
price update utility. Go to File->Data file
utilities->Formula->Pricing->Adjust unit AWP/quantity
pricing by chemical. This utility allows you to adjust the
unit awp and or quantity pricing by a dollar amount or
percentage for all formulas that contain a specified
chemical. Select the chemical then select what you want to
update (unit awp and/or quantity pricing). Then select to
adjust by a percentage or dollar amount. When you press OK
you will be asked to confirm you choices. After you
confirm your choice the price update will start.
34. The default insurance CASH CUSTOMERS can now be
recreated if you deleted it.
35. The Patient SOAP notes prints again. It was broken in
2.1.0.12
36. The Online Billing now takes out the dashes in the NDC
number.
37. The patient record now posts before printing the
patient SOAP notes. This makes it so you don't have to save
the patient before printing the SOAP notes.
38. The NCPDP 5.1 insurance setup fields now shows their
corresponding NCPDP field IDs net to it.
39. New Option: When printing the Rx label you can now
have it print the patients regular address or shipping
address on the Rx label. There is a new option "Shipping
to Regular when not available" This will print the
patient's shipping address but if none is available then it
will print their regular address.
40. Many new features for the NCPDP 5.1 billing
functionality. Plus a new section of the manual is
available for instructions on the 5.1 billing. A new
Medicare billing is also available.

46. The Pharmacy's DEA number is automatically filled in
for field E9 under the 5.1 billing standard.
47. Added the final code for the Australia Merlin POS
integration.
48. There is a new prescriptions report.
Reports->Prescriptions->Insurance Billing Sub-total by
Patient. This report will print a prescription history for
all patients that have a selected insurance. You can
select to print the pharmacy's cost or not. You can select
to have each patient print on a separate page. You can
select to reset the page number if you have selected to
print the patients on separate pages. This report is useful
when an insurance (Hospice) is requesting the reports for
all patients during a selected time period.
49. Fixed the A/R calculation of service charges. In some
cases it was possible to add a service charge when it should
not be applied. This also makes the statements print the
correct statement note (30, 60, 90 day, > 120 day notes).
50. Added a new function to go through the database and
correct any rounding problems that occurred prior to the
2.1.0.14 update. If you printed a report and the total was
off by 0.01 then its a rounding problem. You can run this
program to correct any rounding issues. Prescriptions
filled after the 2.1.0.14 update are not affected by this.
51. Added a requested item (specific patient ID) for the AU
Merlin POS system.
52. Added the Rx label style (HIPAA) to the default
database.
53. In the A/R system any account that has a negative
balance due (credit amount) will not be aged. This
changes makes it so that credit amounts are used against any
invoice that is entered on.
54. The Data conversion screen has been slighly modified.
55. We have moved a few fields from the chemical edit
window to a new tab called Billing. This tab on the
chemical contains the chemical's NDC, AWP, Alternate Product
Type, etc.
56. You can now download and install the PCCA Price/NDC/AWP
update from the web.
57. There is a new feature that will change the name of
the wholesalers from PROFESSIONAL COMPOUNDING CENTERS OF
AMERICA to PCCA. File->Data file utilities->Chemical->Set
chemicals to PCCA.
58. Online billing can now print out a detailed information
screen on all of the values sumbitted to the insurance
company. This can be used by PK Support for diagnosing an
online billing claim. This is detailed for NCPDP 5.1
59. When making a log usings a formula that was compounded
in store the log quantity remaining is now adjusted. This
corrected a potenial inventory problem.
60. When selecting a device lot # while making a log and
then you press the DEL button, the lot#, mfg, etc. fields
will be cleared.
61. A new detailed manual on
the NCPDP 5.1 billing is now available. This is selected
parts of the version 3 manual.

64. PCCA Chemical Price Update Program: The chemical price update program has been modified to allow the option of updating the current chemical package cost and/or unit cost. It also allows the option of updating those items are are checked into inventory. NOTE: This program will overwrite any values that were entered and replace them with PCCA's current price. This is used to track what it would cost to replace your inventory. If you want to track the value that you paid for your inventory then you should not do the price update.

1. If a scheduled CII prescription was filled with a
partial fill and if the prescription's patient location was
marked as 'Hospice' then you can refill the CII prescription
(partial fill).
2. Added a new backup command. This utility will copy the
data file to the selected folder. The folder can be on the
same drive or another driver. File>Backup & Restore>Copy
the data file to another drive. There is a check button on
the bottom New Copy Method. If this is checked it will use
the Windows copy method. On older machines (Win98) you may
need to use the older method to copy the data file.
3. Added a new restore command. This utility will restore
the data file from the selected folder. The folder can be
on the same or another drive. File>Backup &
Restore>Restore the data file from another drive. If this
is checked it will use the Windows copy method. During the
restore process, all other users must be logged out of The
Compounder. This copy function will disconnect from the
database, restore the file from the selected folder and then
reconnect to the database.
4. Added a new data file validation utility. This utility
will go through and validate (check) your data for any
errors. It is recommended that you do this validation
before updates. File>Backup & Restore>Validate the
database.
5. There is a new patient mailing label utility program.
With this utility program you can create patient mailing
labels based on certain formulations, therapeutic class,
doctors, etc. You can also format how the label will
print. Patients will only be on the mailing label list once
if they have filled multiple prescriptions that match the
search criteria.
6. When copying a existing patient when adding a new
patient the pregnancy and HIPAA items are no longer copied
with the patient's information.
7. When checking for a patient's HIPAA privacy notice
check, the system will only do the check for patients whose
species are HUMAN. This will not check for vet patients.
8. Online billing: The code that is used to automatically
start the RSIWFILE.EXE program was taken out. The user
must manually start the RSIWFILE.EXE before starting The
Compounder. You can and the RSIWFILE.EXE to your Start
folder in Windows to have Windows automatically start the
RSIWFILE.EXE.
9. The balance setup and the balance calibration have been
redone. The Ohaus Explorer now looks for the balance to
return "AM", "PM" or ":" for the time field. It looks for
the "/" for the date field. This should help balance
communications where the Ohaus balance was not properly
setup to send back the needed information.
10. The program now checks if the quantity dispensed is
greater than the quantity written when filling a new Rx.
11. When first viewing the patient's prescription history
screen and the patient has an A/R account with the balance
over 120 days the A/R accounts Total balance is now
displayed along with the over due message.
12. There is a new chemical inventory check report. You
can use this report to compare your actual stock on hand for
a chemical to the amount that is in The Compounder.
13. The RxLabelLM2 label style now has three places where
it shows the patient's HIPAA check. Two are on the receipts
and one is on the signature log sticker.
14. There is a new Logs: chemicals used by date report.
This report is a shorted version of the Logs: chemicals used
by report. This report shows the chemical and the total
amount used between two dates. It does not show all the
date and places where this chemical was used.
15. Online billing through RSI information: You will need
to edit the RSIWFILE.EXE program. Start the RSI program and
make the following changes in FILE>Edit Config.

16. The patient SOAP note editor now has the spell check
and insert date buttons.
17. There is a new doctor mailing label utility program.

if they have written multiple prescriptions that match the

18. When editing the prescription label the tags of the
items are displayed again. This was taken out in 2.1.0.6
but now it is added back in.
19. New Option: On the Rx label ingredients you can now
print the breakdown as part of the ingredient information.
NOTE: The total length of the ingredient information is
limited to 1200 characters. If the length exceeds 1200
characters then it will be truncated. You can change the
font size in the Rx label setup to make it smaller to allow
for more information.
20. One of checks for the patient's HIPAA check has been
moved. It was moved from the double clicking on the
patient's history to the refill button on the prescription
status screen. This will allow you to view a prescription
history without being asked to check the patient's HIPAA
information.
21. There is a new patient history screen report that just
shows the first 4 digits in the Rx number, the patient cost,
copay and tax. There is no drug information displayed.
Patient history screen->Rx history->No detail Rx information
and totals.
22. When editing a patient the IACP copy button now copies
the patient's phone number.
23. During the installation of the update you will do a
pre-upgrade check. This will validate your database. The
validation will take place before any new files are
installed. All other users must be off the system
(including network users) in order to do a validation. If
you get a message that says "secondary attachments" then
others are still on The Compounder. If any errors are
reported you should contact technical support.
24. During the upgrade data conversion program you CAN do
an IB Validation/Backup/Restore before doing the actual data
conversion. This is the [Check database] button on the
data conversion screen. This will take several minutes to
complete. This will refresh your database before the data
conversion takes place.
25. The refill reminder report now shows a dialog box with
the all the options in one dialog box. This avoids the
string of questions that had to be answered to get the
report.
26. The ASAP report has a new option Use Prescription
Pickup ID for Customer ID. If this is checked the program
will send the prescription's pickup ID field (Rx misc. tab)
instead of the patient's SSN, DL, etc. Some states now want
the ID of the person that picked up the Rx instead of their
SSN, DL, etc.
27. SALES TAX: The program now uses a field in insurance
for sales tax. You can select which insurance's you charge
sales tax. If you need to charge sales tax on a
prescription then on the insurance's misc. tab you must
check the CHARGE SALES TAX ON THIS INSURANCE.
28. FLAT SALES TAX: In Options, there is a new flat sales
tax. You can select to use the percentage sales tax (same
as before) or the flat sales tax will use one or the other
method but not both.. With the flat sales tax you can have
a flat sales tax for REGULAR Rxs, OTCs and VET
prescriptions. The sales tax items have been moved to the
Rx SETUP #2 Tab.
To correctly calculate sales tax 1. Go to Options, Rx Setup
#2. Make sure your tax options are set up correctly for
your area. 2. Go to each insurance that you need to
calculate sales tax and set each insurance to charge sales
tax or not. 3. For vet patients, make sure that their
species is not HUMAN.
29. On the formula edit screen there is a new button next
to the GENERIC name. After you have entered ingredients and
marked them as active then you can press this button to
automatically fill in the generic name field will all the
active ingredient's names.
30. When adding/editing an item that is to be checked into
inventory the wholesaler, manufacture, and exp. date are
optional as defined in Options Logs. Whatever you require
for a log is now required for an inventory item. Lot
number is still required for an inventory item and is not
optional.
31. When filling a new Rx, the program will make sure that
the quantity dispensed is not greater than the total
quantity due on the prescription.
32. Fixed a bug when using strict chemical inventory and
editing a log. It was checking the existing bottle stock
instead of adding the amount back in and them using the
stock.
33. The system now checks to make sure than only one
chemical is linked back to a sub formula. If you have two
chemicals linking back to a sub formula a possible inventory
error would occur.
34. In the formula instructions you can now insert the
degree, copyright, trade mark, etc. symbols by pressing a
button just above the instructions box.
35. The default font for formula instructions is now
Courier.
36. The formula instructions, notes, references and
discussion note editors now open to 800x600 with formatted
with 1/2 inch margins and letter size paper.
37. Added the PCCA ID to the formula worksheets and logged
formula worksheet.
38. When activating strict inventory in Options, you now get
a warning message explaining strict inventory and that you
should do a chemical inventory report and make sure that you
have no chemicals with a negative inventory.
39. Corrects a bug in PAL's. When you copied an existing
PAL the PAL section was read-only and changes could not be
made.
40. Data file utilities->Formula->Simple formula edit.
This allows a user to edit some fields easily. Works as a

42. Added the strength to the chemical list report. To do
this, the font size was changed to 7 points.
43. On the Rx label you can now add the sig to the Rx label
and bypass the RichText formatting. This means you can
print the sig as plain text in a specified font and size.
To do so add a DBMemo and set the link to Prescription and
C_SigText. Set the font and size and save the label
definition.
44. The patient mailing labels and the doctor mailing
labels (from the edit doctor and the edit patient) now shows
a message saying that these mailing labels are designed to
print to the thermal label printer.
45. The report "List formulas sorted by price code" now
shows the special quantity pricing.
46. On the ASAP report there is a new option to add a CR/LF
to the end of each record. Because some states have varied
the ASAP format, this may or may not be needed in your
state.
47. On the ASAP report we added a new note telling the user
about renaming the ASAP report. Certain states require that
the file is named according to their specifications. This
note is a reminder to follow your states guidelines about
naming the ASAP report file.

allergy code in the formulation. Please note that when the
system checks for allergies it does by by three ways:
1. By formula allergy code. 2. By chemical allergy
code. 3. By chemical name match
If a formula an allergy code and the formula has five
ingredients and each of the ingredients has an allergy code
added then the system will 6 allergy codes plus by a name
match on five ingredients. Please read the manual for more
information about allergy checking.
14. On the generic billing forma and the Worker's
compensation billing form we enlarge the printing area of
the drug quantity and the formula name to allow for more
characters.
15. When making a new from old Rx, the system will now copy
the information from the Misc. tab. You will need to
confirm that you want to copy the Triplicate ID. If you
select the Triplicate ID the program will place "Old: " in
front of the Triplicate ID. The Person Pickup ID is not
copied.
16. There was a way to refill a CII prescription by adding
& canceling certain refill combinations. This has been
corrected.
17. You can now zero out all formula's stock on hands.
File->Data file utilities->Formulas->Reset formula inventory
to 0.
18. You can have up to 8 of The Compounders opened on the
same computer at the same time.
This can use a lot of the computers resource so unless you
are running Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP this is
not recommended. Many pharmacies will have two sessions
opened at the same time. Then press Alt+Tab &
Alt-Shift-Tab to go between the programs. This is nice if
you are working on a prescription and another patient calls
in for a refill. By switching to the other program you can
continue your work.
19. When making a log entry all devices are now rounded to
the next highest number.
20. Purging logs or Rxs: Before you purge prescriptions
or logs you should:
a. Check the version of The Compounder and write it
down:
b. Make sure that you have The Compounder CD for your
version.
c. Make a copy of your CMPDWIN.DAT file.
d. Store The Compounder CD, CMPDWIN.DAT file in a safe
location.
e. Do backup & restore of the CMPDWIN.DAT file.
f. Do the purge.
This will create an archive of your data if it is needed at
a later date.
21. There is a new batch label (thermal & regular). It
uses the Avery 5160 format. It combines, pharmacy name,
address, formula name, lot #, exp. date, packaging note,
pharmacy and active ingredients.
22. In the ASAP report, if the users in TX typed in TX
rather than using the drop down list the report would not be
formatted correctly. This is fixed.
23. The field SSN has be renames to SSN, DL, State DI,
misc. This if the patient identifier field that is used in
the ASAP reporting. Check with your state to see which
patient identifier information they want transmitted to them
for the controlled substance report.
24. The Address buttons that are available during editing a
patient or a doctor now allows special formatting of the
address information. It allows the same formatting as the
mailing labels. This is also available on the Rx History
screen.
25. The batch label (Formula wrapping) has been changed to
allow for better control in wrapping the formula name,
strength and form. If the name, strength and form were too
long, it was truncated and would print nothing.
26. Bug Fix: When making a log and the user selected the
ingredient lot # using the drop down list would blank out
the current chemical inventory information in the chemical
database. This will keep inventory records correct. This
only occurred if you the user was using two lot numbers for
the same ingredient.
27. There are some new fields in the patient information
for HIPAA. Privacy notice, privacy notice date, initials
and note. The privacy notice should be checked when the
patient has received the pharmacies patient privacy
information, the privacy date is the date when the patient
received the privacy notice, the initials are the initials
of the person that gave the patient the pharmacy's patient
privacy notice and the note is a simple note field for the
pharmacy's use. These fields are used to track the
pharmacy's HIPAA compliance.
28. Added support for the new Michigan ASAP electronic
report. Michigan wants 1=Males 2=Females 3=Animals
4=Other.

If you were using "calculate refills based off of qty owing"
and you did a new Rx with zero refills you would get a false

37. There is now a default setting button for setting up
insurances with the NCPDP 5.1. Please note that since every
insurance company can request different information it make
setting a default button for all insurance companies nearly
impossible. The default setting button will select most
fields that will be required by most of the insurance
companies. You will need to contact each insurance company
to see what they require.
38. In Options under Rx Setup #2 there are two new fields
to help with HIPAA compliance. The first field is "Must
have privacy noteice before filling Rx" If this is check
then you will get a warning for those patients that have not
yet received your pharmacy's Notice of Privacy Practices.
The next field has two values. Force Privacy Notice Before
Fill and Warn if No Privacy Notice. If the first is value
is selected then you will not be able to fill an new or
refill prescirption until that patient's privacy notice has
been checked.
39. On the Rx History screen there is a new button
"Privacy" that allows the user to easily & quickly enter
the patient's privacy information.
40. Fixed a user security issue on the Account Receivable
module.
41. Add support the the patient privacy information fields
for the Rx label. You may want to customize your Rx label
to show these new fields, to help your pharmacy comply with
HIPAA.
42. Add a new field in the Rx label
Prescription->C_HIPAA_FILLDATE_TODAY DATE. This is to be
used with the DBCheckBox. The values are T or F. If a you
are filling a prescription for a patient and you just
entered in their privacy information (today's date), when
the label prints out the DBCheck box on the label will not
be checked. This means that you need to make a good faith
effort to get the patient's privancy notice. If you fill a
prescription on another day where the date dispensed is
different from the date of the patient's privact notice then
the DBCheckBox will be checked. Contact support if you have
any questions on this.
43. On the adding/editing patient screen there is a new tab
called Release. It contains information about tracking
medical release records.
The fields are: 1. Medical records released to 2.
Relationship 3. ID type 4. ID 5. Start date. and 6. End
date.
44. Fixed a bug for online billing that was introduced in
2.1.0.6. If you are using RSI for internet billing then you
will need this update. We were putting a TEST.CLM file in

FILTER. Since age is calculated from the patient's date of

click on the Rx on Hold to start filling this Rx. The Rx on

the system would incorrectly put a N or C for a scheduled
2,3,4,5 formula in the prescription number. This is fixed.
19. BUG FIX: If you had the "SELECT CHEMICAL BASED ON 1st
TO EXPIRE" in Options under the Logs tab checked, you could
get an expiration date of 12/30/1899 or a 0 date while
making a log entry. This would happen if a chemical exp.
date was not entered while adding the chemical inventory
into the system. This is fixed.
20. On editing a prescription, refilling and making a new
from an old prescription the warning message that would be
shown if the directions was greater than 200 characters was
taking in account the formatting control codes. It now
calculates the warning without the control codes.
21. The Data Conversion process during an update now checks
to see if the Interbase server is running. If it's not it
will start the server for you.
22. NEW FEATURE: There is a new flag in the Rx History
screen. It's under the "S"(status) column. If a

program is running. This file should be placed in the
Startup folder so it will be started each time Windows
starts.
29. NEW FEATURE: There is a new option in Options under
the Logs tab. USE THE CHEMICALS' PURITY TO CALCULATE AMOUNT
USED. This is uncheck by default. If this is checked the
system will use each chemical's purity factor (as a
percentage) to calculate the amount needed to make the
quantity of the log. For example: Let's say that we have a
formula that needs 10 grams of chemical X to make 100 gm of
cream. Chemical X has 50% in its purity field. Now lets
make a log for 200 gms of this formula. The system will
calculate 40gms of chemical X. needed.
If this flag is used, when making a log entry and you
are entering the quantity to be made the system will show a
red/yellow warning flag that tells you that the system is
using this option.
In the ingredients in the log in the scale/note
field, the system also stores a little note that says this
option was used in the making of the log.
30. BUG FIX: The formula list report was not sorted by
name. This is now fixed.
31. BUG FIX: We fixed an inventory problem that occurred
if a formula a chemical were linked together and a log was
make. During the log process the inventory of the formula
was added in twice. This is fixed.
32. NEW FEATURE: The system now works (is in beta) for
using The Compounder on computers that have LARGE screen
fonts. This means that you can now run it on Laptops with a
high resolution. You will get a message that tells if the
Large screen fonts were detected when you first start the
program.

plain was being treated as the 'LogID coded' and was put

inventory system, you can now edit the amount remaining.

chemical inventory system, if the chemical is linked through
a sub formula then it will update the formula’s stock on
hand as well as the chemical’s stock on hand.
3. In Options under logs there is a new option “Don’t get
chemical lot #, expiration date, mfg., or wholesaler while
logging”. If this is checked then the system will not get
the information from the chemical file. This is useful is
you want your personnel to hand enter the lot numbers,
expiration dates, etc. for each chemical.
4. In Options under logs there is a new option “Select lot
# from inventory based on 1st to expire”. If
this is checked then the system will look at all of the
items checked into the chemical inventory system and find

5. The A/R module now uses the Windows setting for the
regional options for currency. I.e. If the Windows
settings are set to show negative numbers like (50.00) the

settings are set to show negative numbers like -$50.00 the
then A/R system will show them the same.
6. If a chemical in a formula does not have a unit code
assigned to it, then it will not be shown in the log. A
formula is checked for chemicals that do not have valid
units when the formula is saved.
7. There is a new patient utility that will fix patients
with invalid birth dates. I.e. if a patient’s birth date
was entered as 5/16/2034 and it should have been 5/16/1934,
then the utility would fix that.
8. On the Refill Reminder system, you can now select CII

2. The system now requires the pharmacist’s initials and
the technician’s initials when editing or adding.

shown in the unit’s lookup column.

1. In insurance edit->third party claims the reset button
for 3.2 & 4.0 is now working again. Since we changed from
32 to 3.2 and 40 to 4.0 this button did not work properly.
This is fixed.
2. New feature: A new calculator. This calculate
remembers where it was located last time. It also adds a
copy & paste menu. On the edit menu there are various
options.
3. New feature: A new Rx report that lists all
doctors and their patients. It is grouped by doctor and
then sorted by patient and fill date. You can select the
starting fill date and the ending fill date.
4. New feature: The online billing module now
shows additional information messages about the billing
process. If you are trying to bill using 4.0 and the
formula has no ingredients you will get a warning message.

you list patient allergies and diseases in the patient’s
profile.

off the word “information” on the black tabs.

when editing a transaction.
13. A/R module: When searching for an account by invoice
number, the system will now warn you if there is more than

400 characters. The program will give you a warning about
this and then print the claim form.

valid units for the ingredients the system will now copy

8. On the worksheets we’ve taken out the trailing zeros.
I.E. 10.000 ML will now print as 10 ML.
0.0634 GM will print as 0.0634 GM.
9. On the Prescription Status screen, if you clicked on FAX
refill request to Dr you would get a message that said “Do
you want to create a Refill Request Fax Page for the current
Rx?” This message has been taken out since you can press
Cancel on the next screen.
10. Taken out a possible message “The Clock was moved
back”. This message was possible under the old
registration/protection scheme.
11. When billing a claim to a third party (not by modem)
the system will now inform you that the claim has been
billed.
12. The IACP activation feature in Options is now shown.
When the PCCA activation disk is used, it will automatically
activate the IACP membership feature. Non PCCA members
that want to use the IACP claims will have to contact IACP
and for a fee ($25.00 per year) IACP will activate the claim
forms.
13. We have a new setup information sheet for the credit
card billing / PC Charge module.
14. On the Log screen, when you select a chemical lot
number using the drop down arrows, the drop down list was
left justified. This made it hard to read all of the
information for users with small monitors as the information
went off the screen. It is now right justified to make this
easier to use.
16. When pricing a prescription the device’s total price
plus the percentage added will be added to the total price.
This works for NEW, EDIT and REFILL prescriptions. It also
shows the device total price in the white window.
17. To use the credit card billing system, you MUST have
the date format (short format) set to MM/dd/yyyy. You can
set this by: START->SETTINGS->CONTROL PANEL->REGIONAL
SETTINGS->DATE.
18. When making a log entry, on the ingredient tab you
could press a button that would give you the ingredient
breakdown. If you were showing the ingredient breakdown and
you saved a log it would leave the ingredient breakdown as
the first colum
