Computerized Pharmaceutical Compounding! The Compounder Lab™ is a professional compounding program designed for Microsoft’s Window’s NT, 2000
and XP ®. The design of the program is based upon USP, NABP and FDA recommendations
and guidelines for compounding, labeling and reporting for compounded products.
The Compounder Lab can help compounding pharmacies manage formulas, logs,
sterility and batch testing, chemicals, patients, wholesalers and many other important items related to compounding!
The Compounder Lab is built using an SQL client/server data server for fast, reliable service.
 With The Compounder Lab™ you can:
- Add your own formulas to the over 200 formulas that are included
with the software. Or copy from other formulas already on file. Each formula may have an unlimited number of chemicals and instructions.
You can include video files, sounds files, PDF files, pictures and other
objects in the instructions. The Compounder Lab automatically calculates the cost of each ingredient and device used as they are entered. The
software can even calculate the cost for your time used to compound the formula! You can import and export formulas to exchange formulas with other pharmacists. There’s even a "To-Do" management system!
PCCA members can download formulas from the PCCA web server.
- The logging process can track each chemical by bar code so you know
that you have the correct chemical, lot number, expiration date,
pricing, etc. The software links to your electronic balance
so you can record the weight of each chemical. It tracks
sterility processes in your store including beyond use date,
in-house lot numbers for sterility testing. If you use an external
name you can store information about the lab and the methods used.
TOTAL TRACKING FOR LOGS!
- Over 6000 chemicals and supplies are pre-loaded! You can view reports of your current chemicals’ stock on hand, lot numbers, perpetual logs for user selected chemicals, allowing you to track your controlled substances. You can also update your chemical prices by CD or by internet!
- Reorder chemicals and supplies, send FAX orders and print unlimited reports. (You can even create your own reports with the built in report writer.) The program allows for technical information (I.e. solubility’s, pH, mw, etc.) The program also has a Wholesaler System (this tracks wholesalers and ordering information).
- Calculate the chemical amounts to vary the formula yield. I.e. if your formula is for #20 and you want to make #33, the program will do the calculations for you.
You can also adjust batch yields. I.e. you need to make 30gm to
dispense but because of a 5% loss you need to make 5% more.
The system will automatically track all of this!
- The Compounder Lab prints labels for all of your compounded items. The program will automatically assign a lot number. You can print various reports for your logged-formulas.
You can use the pre-defined labels or create your own customized (fonts,
colors, size, fields, etc) batch labels! The labels
work with Avery labels, Dymo thermal printers and Zebra bar code
printers.
- You can export and import formulas to share them with your other stores or other compounders.
