Online (internet/modem) Billing Module

The Compounder Integrated Online billing module is designed to fully integrate with The Compounder Rx software.

When integrated with The Compounder Rx © you will be able to bill prescriptions to third party insurances using the internet or your computer’s modem. The system also keeps track of what was billed in a reconciliation file.   There are several reconciliation reports that you may print or export to Excel that will help you manage the reconciliation.

  • The system uses NCPDP version 5.1 (HIPAA compliant), 3.2, 3.A, 3.B, 3.C and version 4.0 for billing compounds.
  • The system is certified with three vendors for billing Medicare claims online!  CareClaim, EZ-DME and ALLWIN DATA SYSTEMS.
Our new manual has information on the process of billing Medicare claims.
  • You may use the system to transmit claims to various worker's compensation plans.
  • You can use the Internet (RSI / Retail Solutions Inc.) to bill claims (adjudication in less than 5 seconds) or modems.

You can also use a regular modem to transmit claims.  We recommend the US Robotics Sportster.

Retail Solutions, Inc.:  Information
The RSI client application authenticates a positive connection to their servers located in Fort Worth, Texas. Once the authentication is complete their server application sends a message to the client.  This double checks the authentication.   When a pharmacy claim is sent to their client, the claim is encrypted (HIPAA approved) and then sent to their servers.   They then send the claim onto the payer who promptly returns a response, that they relay onto the originating pharmacy.
