QuickBooks Point of Sale Integration
PK Software has produced an interface module for the QuickBooks Point of Sale
system. Each Rx and Patient is transferred to the QuickBooks Point of Sale
system as a Customer or an Item. A barcode can be printed on the label to allow
quick access to the Rx item now stored in the QuickBooks POS system. Pricing
information as well as Patient information is updated and maintained through
this integration. While the QuickBooks Point of Sale system is not a pharmacy
point of sale system. Its price point is far below that of most pharmacy point
of sale systems and could be just what you need.
Prescriptions are added to the QuickBooks Point of Sale system as items. They can be
added with or without a drug name to allow for HIPAA compliance. Please view the

NOTE: The QuickBooks Point of Sale system is NOT a Pharmacy specific point of sale system.
It is not IIAS/Sigis compliant. There are many features that it lacks to help run a compounding pharmacy. This interface is provided for those people who already use the
QuickBooks Point of Sale system and are aware of its limitations. For a
Pharmacy Point of Sale system we would recommend either CAM32 POS
or
Paladin POS
