Changes in 3.11.5
    Feb. 1, 2006

Changes:

1.  There is a new LOGGED FORMULA USAGE REPORT.  (Reports->Logs->Logged formula usage report).  This report will list the top number of logs by quantity made, times made and cost.  This included several filters.

2.  Credit card module:  There is a new payment processor in Options.  Heartland Payment Systems.

3.  On the prescription history window there is a new column that displays a graphic if the prescription has a note.  When the graphic is displayed, it is a visual indicator that the prescription has a note.

4.  On the prescription history window there is new check box SHOW RX NOTE.  If this is checked the Rx note will be displayed in the row under the current prescription.

5.  There is a small change in looking up a purchase order in the PO QuickBooks system.

6.  The Compounded Claim form now includes the current pharmacist name & state license number on the claim when using the CREATE CLAIM button on the LINK RX TO LOG.  This is for The Compounder Lab users.

7.  The Compounder Claim form (CREATE CLAIM button on the LINK RX TO LOG) now asks for the days supply before printing the claim.

8.  The patient shipping form now stores the PRINT PATIENT NOTES selection.  This storage is local to the computer and only affects the current computer.  This is done so that some terminals will print the notes and the other terminals will not.

9.  When using multiple lot numbers when filling a prescription the software would only allow for whole numbers and not real numbers.  The software now allows for real numbers.  I.e.   You need  7 mL of one batch and 0.5 mL of another batch to get a total of 7.5 mL.  The software would allow for 7 or 8 but not 7.5 mL.

10.  PCCA CPM users:  If the software finds that you are charging less than the CPM PRICING SCHEDULES minimum price the software will display the price and the minimum price.  You will be asked which one you want to charge.

11.  PRICE SCHEDULES:  When using the pricing by "QTY cost" or "QTY awp"" the software will now use any special quantity price to override these calculations.

12.  We now have weekly newsletters!  Sign up at www.rxcmpd to receive weekly newsletters with training sessions about the software!

13.  We've added a few more speed keys throughout the software.

14.  We've added some changes to the QuickBooks Purchase Order system.  I.e.  New items can now be checked into QuickBooks as an expense.

15.  Patient retention report.  Duplicate patients are removed.  You can now filter by Doctor practice type and by specific doctor.

16.  The Doctor/Medication report can now be selected by a date range.  Reports->Prescriptions->Doctor/Medication report.  This is also a print preview screen.

17.  The dispensing interface (SpeedScript) interface is enabled again.  It was deactivated by mistake in the last release.

18.  Added therapeutic duplication for the clinical module (was mistakenly taken out in earlier 3.10 build).

19.  We added a new utility that will set the chemicals order number from the vendor information.  It will use the vendor information with the highest cost.  This utility is password protected and should only be used by PK Software Home office support.

20.  IMPORTANT!   As of  November 1st 2005 we no longer support online billing by the use of modems.  Because almost all users have converted to using the internet and RSI we are stopping the support of modem connections for online billing.  Having said that, the current code set will continue in the same fashion and will continue to work.   If someone has a problem with a modem and does not want to switch to the newer communications technology and needs support, they will be billed at an hourly support rate.   Because we do not sell the hardware we may require that you send your computer to our office for diagnosis.

Users that purchase OLB must use internet access (RSI) or Pay-by-hour for PK Inc., to troubleshoot the modem.

21.  When filling a prescription on hold the software no longer recalculates the prescription Rx expiration date based on the drug schedule and uses the expiration date that was originally entered when you added the Rx on hold.

22.  There is a new Off-site backup program.  This contains new code for sending e-mails to the users about the status of the backup.

29.  Online billing users:   We've made a few changed to a the fields DX, DQ.   The software was sending 6 characters.  The NCPDP standard is 8 characters.  Some insurances are now requiring that we send a full 8 characters.

30.  When saving a manually entered compound claim form the software now goes directly to print the claim.

31.  Each pharmacist and technician can now have their own signatures.   The pharmacists' signatures print on the compounded claim forms.    If the pharmacist has a signature it will print it on the claims forms.  It there is no signature for the pharmacist the software will default to the signature that is loaded in Options.

32.  In the Options, you can now enter your pharmacy's PO box number.  There is a check box to the side of this that will allow you to print your pharmacy's PO Box for the A/R statements & invoices.

45.  While adding or editing a formula, within the formula instructions editor you can insert a check box, a checkbox with the wording of initials after it.  This is so you can create a check box and/or initials for personnel that are making the log.

46.  The off-site backup now sends two separate e-mails.   One to PK Support & one to the user.   This is done so that even if the user does not setup their e-mail, PK Support will still get an e-mail of the backup status.

66.  If you have been using the PKS Fax server, you will need to uninstall it & reinstall the new version from the CD.   Some of the required files for new release will not work with the older version.

67.  There is a new safety check when making logs.  The software will compare the number of ingredients between the formula and the log.  If they are different a warning message is displayed.
